PASCO, Wash. (AP) — A Pasco woman accused of fatally shooting her mother has been ordered held on $200,000 bail for investigation of second-degree murder.

Defense lawyer Matt Rutt is one of two lawyers assigned to represent 37-year-old Tashia Stuart in Thursday’s death of 58-year-old Judy Hebert. Rutt says the case could be one of self defense. Court papers say Stuart contends her mother came at her with an ax.

The Tri-City Herald reports that Stuart and her daughter had been living with Hebert for about two months.
