Eastern Michigan snaps 3-game skid, wins 69-50

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) — Brandon Bowdry scored 27 points Saturday as Eastern Michigan closed out the regular season with a 69-50 victory over Toledo.

Bowdry also had 10 rebounds, six assists and three steals as the Eagles (9-21, 5-11 Mid-American) snapped a three-game losing streak and finished as the No. 11 seed for the conference tournament. Eastern Michigan will travel to No. 6 Akron in the first round on Tuesday.

Toledo (4-27, 1-15) lost for the 13th straight time and will carry the No. 12 seed into the MAC tournament, where it meets No. 5 Ohio on Tuesday.

Anthony Wright had 15 points and Hayden Humes 12 for the Rockets, who shot 38 percent from the field and just 50 percent (9 of 18) from the free-throw line.

Eastern Michigan, which shot 52 percent from the floor, led 58-49 with 6:22 left in the game and used a 9-0 run to put it out of reach.
