BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — Michael Glover scored 31 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Iona routed Siena 94-64 on Saturday night to advance to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tournament semifinals.

Kyle Smyth added 16 points, Scott Machado 15 and Randy Dezouvre 10 for the second-seeded Gaels (21-10), who won their first MAAC tournament game since 2006.

Iona, which shot 58.3 percent from the field (35 of 60), has won eight games in a row following a four-game skid.

The Gaels, who split the season series with the seventh-seeded Saints (13-18), led 37-31 at halftime and opened the second half with a 4-0 run.

Siena closed to 41-38 on a Clarence Jackson 3-pointer, then Glover scored six straight points to spark a 15-2 run that helped Iona pull away.

Jackson scored 16 points to pace the Saints, who had won two games in a row, including 68-66 in overtime over Manhattan in the first round.
