NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Jeremy Hazell scored 21 points in his final home game and Seton Hall tied its season high by hitting a dozen 3-pointers in an 85-72 victory over Marquette on Saturday night.

Freshman Patrick Auda added a career-high 14 points and Jordan Theodore had 12 as the Pirates (13-17, 7-11 Big East) followed their upset of No. 15 St. John’s with another impressive performance.

Eniel Polynice had 11 points and Herb Pope and Jeff Robinson 10 apiece for Seton Hall, which won consecutive games for only the second time since the start of the year.

Jimmy Butler had 20 points for Marquette (18-13, 9-9), which probably needs a big run in the conference tournament to get an NCAA tournament bid. Dwight Buycks added 15 and Darius Johnson-Odom 13 for the Golden Eagles, who trailed 49-35 at the half after seeing the Pirates nail 11 3-pointers in the opening 20 minutes.
