What’s the buzz from the world of sports? Here are some items that will have people talking:
1
Carlos Tevez, Sami Nasri and others will be feeling the chill after soccer’s rule-makers banned players from wearing neck warmers.
FIFA President Sepp Blatter said Saturday that the so-called “snoods” are “dangerous — it can be like to hang somebody.”
The decision will not be popular in the Premier League this season, with Tevez at Manchester City and Nasri at Arsenal among the wearers.
The players might not like it, but Talking Points believes that any decision that will help prevent someone from hanging himself during a soccer match is logical.

The Bakersfield Condors minor league hockey team declared March 12 to be “Charlie Sheen Night.”
Some of the highlights of this special occasion include:
• Free admission for anyone who brings a clean drug test.
• Dress like any Sheen movie character and your ticket is $2.50 (If Rick “Wild Thing” Vaughn is too obvious, how about Topper Harley from Hot Shots?).
• If you’re one of the first 1,000 males in attendance you get a Sheen face on a stick mask.
• Any fan bringing $2 million to the game — the amount Sheen was making per episode for the show “Two and a Half Men” — can own the team.
