LONDON (AP) — The British Olympic Association is taking its financial dispute with organizers of the London 2012 Games to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
The BOA claims it deserves to receive millions of dollars more from the London organizing committee.
The national body said Thursday it is taking the case to CAS in Switzerland to resolve the dispute “quickly and fairly.”
The BOA says it faces a budget shortfall of up to $16 million that threatens funding of the British team for next year’s games on home soil. LOCOG says the revenue-sharing deal is fair and refuses to renegotiate.
