OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Center Kendrick Perkins has returned to practice for Oklahoma City.

Coach Scott Brooks says he won’t make his Thunder debut Friday night against the Detroit Pistons. Brooks says Perkins is being evaluated on a day-to-day basis and is still trying to learn Oklahoma City’s playbook after missing the past two weeks with a sprained left knee.

Perkins was traded to the Thunder by the Boston Celtics but has yet to play for his new team.

Brooks says Oklahoma City will have 11 active players against the Pistons after reserve center Byron Mullens was sent to the NBA Development League.
