Bautista homers as Blue Jays beat Rays 9-3

DUNEDIN, Fla. (AP) — Jose Bautista and Eric Thames homered to help the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Tampa Bay Rays 9-3 on Sunday.

Brandon Morrow allowed two runs, one earned, and three hits in four innings for Toronto. Morrow struck out six and walked none.

Bautista hit a sacrifice fly in the first inning and his second spring homer in the third. Yunel Escobar also hit a two-run double in the second for Toronto.

Johnny Damon singled and scored on shortstop Escobar’s error in the first, and B.J. Upton doubled and scored in the fourth for Tampa Bay.
