SEATTLE (AP) — Heavy rain in Western Washington is causing mudslides.

The Transportation Department reports a mudslide and jack-knifed truck about 3 a.m. Monday blocked Highway 101 near Eldon in Mason County. KBKW reports no detour is available.

The Transportation Department also reports downed trees on Highway 106 near Union in Mason County.

And three mudslides Sunday hit Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad tracks. One was in southwest Washington near Vancouver and two were between Seattle and Everett where slides have hit tracks more than 20 times this winter.
