NASHUA, N.H. (AP) — The mother of a New Hampshire man charged with a deadly 2009 home invasion says mental health counselors never told her or his father he had anti-social personality traits.

Tamara Gribble’s 21-year-old son, Christopher Gribble, has admitted he killed a Mont Vernon mother and tried to kill her daughter. Gribble claims he is not guilty by reason of insanity.

The trial under way in Nashua is to determine his sanity at the time of the crime.

Tamara Gribble says she spanked her son a wooden spoon when he was about five when he repeatedly wet his pants, but denies she abused him again. Mental health experts testified Gribble told them his mother abused him physically and emotionally.

Tamara Gribble testified Monday after two psychiatrists said her son was sane.
