BLACKSBURG, Va. (AP) — Beth Dunkenberger has resigned as the women’s basketball coach at Virginia Tech after seven seasons, the last four of which ended with no postseason play.

Dunkenberger, in the final year of her contract, submitted her letter of resignation and it was accepted Monday, athletic director Jim Weaver said in a statement released by the school.

The Hokies finished 11-19 this season, leaving Dunkenberger with a 110-104 record with the Hokies. In conference play, they were 1-13 this season, and 27-71 over the past seven seasons.

Their final game was an 81-58 loss to Georgia Tech in the first round of the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament. The Hokies trailed 40-14 at halftime and had committed 22 turnovers.
