LENZERHEIDE, Switzerland (AP) — Lindsey Vonn has taken the lead from Maria Riesch in their duel for the overall World Cup title, finishing fourth behind winner Julia Mancuso in the season’s last downhill.

Vonn earned 50 race points, while Riesch failed to score in 17th place.

The American racer has 1,705 points to the German’s 1,678 with three races left this week. Vonn is looking for her fourth straight overall title.

Mancuso sped down in 1 minute, 27.50 seconds for her first World Cup victory since March 2007.

Lara Gut of Switzerland was 0.81 seconds back in second and world champion Elisabeth Goergl was third, trailing Mancuso by 1.15.

Vonn trailed Mancuso by 1.38 and Riesch was a surprising 3.19 back as neither looked entirely comfortable on the steep, twisting course.
