YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) — A 56-year-old Yakima man sentenced to 10 years in prison for possessing child pornography says he is not a pedophile.

Daniel Z. Mohrbacher told the Yakima Herald-Republic Monday that he is addicted to pornography and downloaded large volumes of adult pornography, which included some child pornography. Photos and videos were found in a June 2009 raid at his home.

Mohrbacher pleaded guilty in October and was sentenced Friday in federal court in Yakima.

He’s a former paramedic and volunteer firefighter who owns a nonprofit business, AED Advocates that sells automated external defibrillators.
