The Humane Society has many barn and shop cats and kittens up for adoption. They are sweet and loving animals but would rather be outside catching mice. If you are in need of a barn or shop cat, visit the Humane Society and see them for yourself how sweet and outgoing they are.

Cob is a 6-year-old beagle. He is gentle and would love a quiet home with a family. Cob gets along great with other dogs. He should meet any children older than 10 that he would be living with. Cob needs a fenced yard as he’s a beagle and loves to follow his nose.

These pets are among those available for adoption from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver. Fees — which can include registered microchip, health exam, a spay or neuter certificate and vaccination — vary. Call 360-693-4746.
