PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The Portland police officer who was wounded last month is now recovering at home.

The Oregonian reports Parik Singh was released Tuesday from Legacy Emmanuel Medical Center. Doctors say the 37-year-old should make a full recovery.

He was shot in the abdomen March 6 while responding to a report of a suicidal man. Sixty-one-year-old Ralph Clyde Turner has been charged with attempted aggravated murder.
