CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — A witness to a fatal pedestrian accident near Corvallis told Oregon State Police that a man standing along a Highway 34 bypass ran into the path of a HUT airport shuttle bus.
An ambulance took 40-year-old David Joel Montgomery of Philomath to a Corvallis hospital where he was declared dead.
Police say no one on the shuttle bus was injured in the Thursday afternoon accident, and the driver did not appear to be at fault.
