Forecast remains wet and windy

As Spring Break begins south of the Columbia River, take solace in today’s forecast: It’s wet, windy and just plain dreary.

There’s a 90 percent chance of rain today and a high that will peak at 49 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Southwest winds between 8 and 10 miles per hour will blow.

A thunderstorm is possible tonight before 11 p.m., and the mercury will fall to 38 degrees.

Here’s the rest of the weekend’s forecast:

Saturday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 51. Southeast wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Saturday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm, then a slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38. East southeast wind between 5 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 55. Calm wind.

Sunday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 42.
