RENTON, Wash. (AP) — The Seattle Sounders FC have signed Argentine midfielder Mauro Rosales, just three days after a season-opening loss to Los Angeles.
Seattle announced the deal for the 30-year-old on Friday. He joined the club during training in late February.
Rosales has been capped 10 times for Argentina and was a member of their gold-medal winning side at the 2004 Olympics.
Most recently, Rosales spent the last four seasons playing for River Plate in Buenos Aires. he’s also played for Newell’s Old Boys and for Ajax in the Netherlands. Rosales has scored 39 goals in 234 league matches for the three clubs.
