Garden ready for planting

Hazel Dell —Forty-two Clark College students from Service and Leadership in the Community and Health 100 worked in the Hazel Dell School and community garden to plant raspberries and blueberries, prune and weed. The March 4 project was headed by Jodee Nickel, WSU’s Food $ense and 4-H Youth Development Coordinator and Danielle Slamka, Growing Groceries Mentor. The garden is ready for spring planting by the students of Hazel Dell Elementary School, the children of the Boys and Girls Club and community garden members.
