NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey’s largest city is getting ready for its first trip to The Dance.

Newark is hosting the NCAA East Region men’s basketball finals next week. The games will be held on March 25 and 27 at the Prudential Center, home of the New Jersey Devils and New Jersey Nets.

Ohio State is the top seed in the East Region, followed by North Carolina, Syracuse, Kentucky and West Virginia. As play began on Saturday, all five teams were still alive.

Newark Mayor Cory Booker says the event’s economic benefit for the city could reach into the millions.

The city is planning numerous events during the weekend, including live music, interactive games and street fairs.
