Showers, thunderstorm a possibility today

Southwest Washington may be enjoying a bit of near-spring sunshine this morning, but showers – and maybe even a thunderstorm – could be in the cards for the rest of the day.

Here is the latest forecast from the National Weather Service.

Today: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce small hail. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 48. South wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Tonight: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm. Some of the storms could produce small hail. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39. South southwest wind at 6 mph becoming east.

Sunday: A 30 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 49. East northeast wind between 3 and 6 mph.

Sunday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42. East northeast wind around 6 mph.
