OSLO, Norway (AP) — Darya Domracheva of Belarus won a 12.5-kilometer biathlon to win the World Cup mass start title, while Kaisa Makarainen of Finland took the overall trophy.
The 24-year-old Domracheva missed three targets but held on to win in 36 minutes, 13.0 seconds.
Russia’s Anna Bogaliy-Titovets missed one shot at the final shooting range and trailed by 16.0 seconds. Olga Zaitseva of Russia also skied one penalty loop before finishing third, 25.0 seconds back.
Makarainen, the pursuit world champion, struggled at the ranges, missing four times. However, her 15th place finish was enough to guarantee victory in the overall World Cup standings.
