SOCHI, Russia (AP) — The IOC’s coordination commission is back in Russia for a check on preparations for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

The commission, led by Jean-Claude Killy, is making its fifth trip to the Black Sea resort since the games were awarded to Sochi in 2007.

The International Olympic Committee says the three-day visit will include technical meetings with local organizers and tours of the sports venues.

Sochi organizers recently held their first Alpine skiing test event in the Krasnaya Polyana mountains.
