NEW YORK (AP) — Prince Dubai edged Empire Express by a nose Sunday in the $41,000 allowance feature for New York breds at Aqueduct.

The win was a long time coming for the 6-year-old gelding trained by Leah Gyarmati. The victory, only his third in 39 starts, snapped a 14-race losing streak dating back Aug. 15, 2009 at Saratoga. Eddie Castro was aboard as he ran the 1 1-16 miles in 1:46.25.

Prince Dubai paid $16.80, $8.60 and $3.80. Empire Express returned $6.80 and $3.40. Smart Enuf, the even-money favorite, paid $2.10 to show.
