PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) — Washington State post player DeAngelo Casto has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules and will miss Wednesday night’s NIT quarterfinal against Northwestern.

Coach Ken Bone declined Tuesday to discuss the violation, and said the team will focus on the chance to reach the NIT semifinals in New York.

Bone said he was disappointed in Casto. The junior averages 12 points and six rebounds per game and is WSU’s main inside weapon.

It has been a tumultuous late season for WSU. Leading scorer Klay Thompson was suspended for a game earlier after he was cited for marijuana possession.
