Yuki is a 3-year-old American Staffordshire terrier. She came to the shelter as a stray and has been fostered with a staff member. In her foster home, she lived with a small child and another male dog and was very happy. Yuki should meet any other dogs she would live with and needs a home without cats. She also needs a secure, fenced yard.

Snowball is a 3-year-old white Siamese mix. He came to the shelter when his family could no longer care for him. Snowball is a big cat. Because of his size, he does not like to be held. He is declawed, so he will need to be an indoor-only cat in a home without kids younger than age 10. Snowball would need a slow introduction to any other pets he would live with.

These pets are among those available for adoption from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver. Fees — which can include registered microchip, health exam, a spay or neuter certificate and vaccination — vary. Call 360-693-4746.
