UCI appeals to CAS in Alberto Contador doping case

AIGLE, Switzerland (AP) — The International Cycling Union is appealing Alberto Contador’s doping acquittal to sport’s highest court.

The governing body says it is going to the Court of Arbitration for Sport to challenge the Spanish cycling federation’s decision not to ban the Tour de France champion for his positive clenbuterol test.
