TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — A Tacoma jury has convicted a man of aggravated first-degree murder in the June 2009 robbery and killing of a Loomis armored car guard at the Lakewood, Wash., Walmart.

Prosecutors said 43-year-old Odies D. Walker planned the robbery. Superior Court jurors on Thursday also convicted him of assault and robbery charges.

He faces life in prison without parole.

Walker was a former greeter at the store where guard Kurt Husted was shot to death during the robbery.

Walker’s girlfriend, Tonie Williams-Irby, worked at the store and provided inside information. She pleaded guilty last year to second-degree murder and robbery charges. The shooter, Calvin Finley, pleaded guilty to aggravated murder and is serving a life sentence. A man who was with Finley, Marshawn Turpin, pleaded guilty to murder, assault and robbery charges.
