SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) — San Diego Padres center fielder Cameron Maybin left Thursday night’s game against Texas with tightness in his right quadriceps.

Maybin grounded out in the first inning and made one catch in the bottom half before giving way to Jesus Guzman in the second.

Maybin, acquired from Florida in the offseason after playing only 15 games for the Marlins last season, is hitting .341 and has scored 10 runs this spring.
