Nets’ Gaines out indefinitely with fractured hip

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey Nets point guard Sundiata Gaines will be out of action for several weeks after fracturing his right hip.

Nets general manager Billy King said Thursday that Gaines was injured in the first quarter of Wednesday’s game at Cleveland.

He said Gaines will be on crutches for six to eight weeks and will then start a rehab program.
