The Congregation Kol Ami celebrated Purim, a significant Jewish holiday, in groovy style.

During the synagogue service, the Book of Esther was read while the congregation, dressed in costumes reminiscent of the 60s, played its part, booing and hissing whenever Haman’s (the bad guy) name was mentioned.

Other activities included Havdalah, a ceremony to signify the conclusion of the Sabbath, and the Sunday afternoon Purim carnival.
