GOODYEAR, Ariz. (AP) — Brandon Phillips hit a three-run homer and the Cincinnati Reds roughed up Aaron Heilman to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 9-6 on Sunday.

Heilman, competing with Armando Galarraga for the final spot in the Arizona rotation, allowed eight runs and eight hits in two innings. Phillips’ homer was his first of spring training.

Chris Heisey hit his team-high fifth homer of the spring off Arizona’s Rafael Rodriguez.

Reds third baseman Scott Rolen returned after missing two games with a bruised elbow and hit a two-run double. Catcher Ramon Hernandez, sidelined the last week with a sore throwing elbow, tossed out Ryan Roberts trying to steal.
