COLFAX, Wash. (AP) — A man arrested in a domestic violence case in southeast Washington is accused of attempting to strangle his girlfriend and cutting the words “do not resuscitate” into her chest.
Spokane station KXLY reports 54-year-old Nathaniel Simon was arrested Tuesday by Whitman County deputies and jailed for investigation of assault and unlawful imprisonment. He appeared in court Wednesday and was ordered held, with bond set at $500,000.
The woman suffered cuts and bruises in the incident Friday that she reported Tuesday. The woman said she did not lose consciousness during the assault and was treated for her injuries.
