PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Roy Oswalt is scheduled to return to the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday and could start Saturday.

The right-hander left the team last Wednesday to be with his family in tornado-ravaged Mississippi.

Left-hander Cole Hamels will start Tuesday against the Washington Nationals in place of Oswalt, who is 3-1 with a 3.33 ERA in five starts.

Also, right fielder Domonic Brown, who broke his right hamate bone in spring training, will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Monday. Second baseman Chase Utley, out all season with a knee injury, played a three-inning simulated game Sunday and is still listed as day-to-day.
