NASHUA, N.H. (AP) — A baseball team in a top New England amateur league is rooting for the Boston Bruins to finally score a power-play goal in the playoffs.

It’s costing the Nashua Silver Knights money until the Bruins do.

The Silver Knights play in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League, made up of prime college players. The team is giving away a free Powerade with every ticket purchased until the Bruins score a power play goal. As of Tuesday, the Bruins are 0 for 28 with a man advantage.

Silver Knights president Tim Bawmann says it’s not that big of a risk.

“We believe we will not be giving away Powerade through mid-June,” he said.

If Boston never scores on the power play, the promotion will end when the Bruins’ season does.
