NEW YORK (AP) — Olympic wrestling gold medalist Henry Cejudo is returning to competition for the first time since the Beijing Games.

He’ll take part in a dual meet between the United States and Russia in the middle of Times Square on Thursday to benefit Beat the Streets, a wrestling program for New York City youth.

Cejudo dabbled in boxing during a hiatus of more than 212 years between matches. But he said Wednesday that “I’m still hungry” to accomplish more in wrestling.

Cejudo had never won a match in a world-level senior tournament before Beijing, but became the youngest American to capture an Olympic wrestling gold medal when he won the freestyle 55-kilogram division at age 21.
