LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) — Former FIFA official Amos Adamu has appealed to sport’s highest court to overturn his three-year ban from soccer for seeking bribes.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport says Adamu has asked for his FIFA ban to be annulled.

FIFA’s ethics court found Adamu guilty last November of seeking bribes from undercover reporters during 2018 and 2022 World Cup bidding contests.

He was suspended before the December vote and lost his place on FIFA’s executive committee.

CAS says Tongan official Ahongalu Fusimalohi has appealed his two-year ban on separate corruption charges.

The court has not fixed a hearing date.

CAS didn’t say if Reynald Temarii from Tahiti, Adamu’s former executive colleague, has appealed his one-year ban.
