BOSTON (AP) — Boston Marathon winners Geoffrey Mutai and Caroline Kilel will return for a victory lap of sorts when they run in the inaugural Boston Athletic Association 10K this summer.

The June 26 race offers total prizes of $30,000.

Mutai ran the world’s fastest marathon to win the 115th edition of the Boston race in April, finishing in 2 hours, 3 minutes, 2 seconds.

The B.A.A. 10K is a flat course that winds through Boston’s Back Bay, Kenmore Square and Boston University neighborhoods before ending at Boston Common. Registration has begun for the field, which will be capped at 5,000 runners.

The top male and female finisher will each receive $5,000.
