Oregon State Penitentiary lockdown ends

SALEM, Ore. (AP) — The lockdown is over at the Oregon State Penitentiary in Salem.

The Department of Corrections said Friday the penitentiary returned to normal operations at the end of the evening meal on Thursday.

The lockdown began on April 27 after a series of inmate fights that remain under investigation.
