TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — Pierce County prosecutors say a guard at the Washington Corrections Center for Women forced an inmate to perform a sex act.

The News Tribune reports Jonathan Ryan Clapper was charged this week with custodial sexual misconduct for an incident in July 2008 at the prison near Gig Harbor. He resigned the next month.

He’ll be arraigned May 18.
