1 dead after boat overturns north of Everett

CAMANO HEAD, Wash. (AP) — One person has been confirmed dead by the Coast Guard after an 18-foot recreational boat overturned north of Everett near Camano Head, Wash. At least four other people were rescued.

KIRO-TV reports the rescue operation got underway around 8 a.m. Saturday.

Everett, Snohomish County and Island County authorities assisted in the search.

It’s unclear what caused the boat to overturn. No further information is available about the condition of the people pulled out of the water.
