ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Texas Rangers right-hander Alexi Ogando has been scratched from his scheduled start Sunday because of a bothersome blister on his throwing hand.

Right-hander Dave Bush will start in Ogando’s spot in the finale of a three-game series against the New York Yankees.

Manager Ron Washington said after Saturday night’s 7-5 win that the Rangers are skipping Ogando so that hopefully the blister, which has been an issue all season, will have more time to fully heal. Washington expects Ogando (3-0, 2.17 ERA) to be back in the rotation next weekend against the Los Angeles Angels.

It will be the second spot start this season for Bush, who has a 1.46 ERA in four appearances.
