BOSTON (AP) — The Minnesota Twins reinstated right-hander Kevin Slowey from disabled list and optioned left-hander Dusty Hughes before Saturday’s game against the Boston Red Sox.
Slowey, placed on the 15-day DL on April 9 with shoulder bursitis, made two rehab starts for Class-A Fort Myers, allowing one run in 6 2-3 innings.
Hughes was sent to Triple-A Rochester after going 1-0 with a 10.13 ERA in 12 appearances with the Twins.
