PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Police investigating reports of dozens of missing storm drain covers in northeast Portland have arrested a 38-year-old man.

The Oregonian says Tracy Todd Weaver was arrested Tuesday for investigation of first-degree theft, theft by deception and attempted theft by selling.

Officers made the arrest after getting a call from a metals business that had just been visited by a man offering to sell as many as 25 metal grates — at six for $100.
