SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The San Francisco Giants have activated centerfielder Andres Torres and infielder Mark DeRosa off the disabled list and placed them in the starting lineup against Arizona.

The Giants sent infielders Ryan Rohlinger and Emmanuel Burriss to Triple-A Fresno to make room on the roster.

Torres had been on the disabled list with a strained left Achilles’ tendon and DeRosa had been out with a recurring left wrist injury. They started Tuesday night in place of struggling shortstop Miguel Tejada and outfielder Pat Burrell.

Giants manager Bruce Bochy says his lineup will be flexible but expects Torres and DeRosa to start for now. Third baseman Pablo Sandoval is still at least four weeks away from returning from right wrist surgery.
