LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) — The IOC says all three cities bidding for the 2018 Winter Olympics are up to the task.
Less than two months before the vote, the International Olympic Committee issued its evaluation report Tuesday assessing the bids from Annecy, France; Munich; and Pyeongchang, South Korea.
The 119-page report offers no major revelations or game-changing criticism, in a race in which third-time bidder Pyeongchang is considered the front-runner.
The report says “all three candidate cities could successfully host the 2018 Olympic Winter Games, with each city offering its own distinct vision and concept.”
The report was issued a week before the cities make formal presentations to IOC members in Lausanne, Switzerland. The full IOC will vote on July 6 in Durban, South Africa.
