MIAMI (AP) — Florida Marlins right-hander Javier Vazquez has been put on the bereavement list following the death of a relative on his wife’s side of the family.
Vazquez left the team Tuesday to be with family in his native Puerto Rico. He’s expected to make his next scheduled start Sunday at Washington.
