KENNEWICK, Wash. (AP) — Some non-union workers for Hanford contractors will be getting a 1.5 percent pay increase, retroactive to the first of the year.
The Tri-City Herald reports the Energy Department is allowing the increases to follow the same standard for “step increases” applied to department employees.
Contractors deciding exactly how to implement the change include Washington Closure Hanford, Washington River Protection Solutions, Mission Support Alliance and CH2M Hill Plateau Remediation. The raises don’t apply to union workers with negotiated contracts.
The 1.5 percent salary increase also will go to employees of the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
