DUFUR, Ore. (AP) — A Dufur woman was shot and killed and her husband, a suspect in the shooting, was injured in a crash after a high-speed police chase.

KLCK-FM reports the woman, 49-year-old Marci Hammer, was shot and killed Monday night.

Her husband, 43-year-old Stacey Hammer, is alleged to have led police on a high-speed chase in which he crashed south of Dufur and had to be airlifted to a Portland hospital.

The Dalles Chronicle reports Stacey Hammer faces charges of eluding and reckless driving. Charges against Stacey Hammer in connection to the shooting have not been announced.

The newspaper reports the district attorney says Marci Hammer took out a restraining order against Stacey Hammer.
