Papa Murphy’s launches anniversary ad campaign

Vancouver-based Papa Murphy’s will mark its 30th anniversary by this month by launching a $35 million advertising campaign.

Called “Join the Take-n-Bake Revolution,” the promotion includes six television commercials featuring a new company spokesperson. A glimpse of the campaign is online at http://www.youtube.com/papamurphyspizza.

Papa Murphy’s started as Papa Aldo’s in Hillsboro, Ore., in 1981 and became Papa Murphy’s in a merger with California-based Murphy’s Pizza. Today, there are more than 1,250 franchised and corporately owned Papa Murphy’s locations in 37 states and Canada

The chain was purchased by New York-based Lee Equity Partners in 2010.
